No-Knead Crusty Bread
There are few things better than the taste and smell of homemade bread. After much trial and error, I finally perfected my bread recipe and it doesn’t require a ton of fuss because it’s no-knead! I know not everyone has a stand mixer so this is the perfect bread recipe that anyone can make!
Ingredients
3 cups organic all purpose or bread flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 cup warm water
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
Directions
In small bowl or cup add your warm water (between 100-105 degrees F, anything cooler won’t active the yeast and anything too hot will kill the yeast!) and yeast and mix. Let it sit for 10 minutes to activate
In a large bowl add your flour and salt and mix to combine them
Pour the water with yeast into the flour and using a wooden spoon or spatula mix until everything is well combined. The dough will still be tacky!
Cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and put it in a warm dark place to rise for 2 hours (I put it inside of the oven with the oven turned off!)
Sprinkle some flour onto parchment paper and transfer your dough and shape it into a ball. Cover again and let rise for 30 minutes
While the dough is resting, preheat your oven to 450F and put your dutch oven with the lid on in to heat with the oven
Once the time is up, take the dutch oven out of the oven and put the parchment paper with the dough inside, cover and cook for 30 minutes
After the 30 minutes, uncover and cook for another 15-20 minutes or until the top is nice and golden brown
Let rest for 15-20 minutes before cutting
Buon appetito!
