Pasta with Broccoli

Sometimes you want the comfort of pasta with less of the guilt. This pasta with broccoli recipe is one of my all time favorites, especially in the spring and summer. Not going to lie…I ate 3 bowls of it.

Ingredients

1 pound of rigatoni (you can use any pasta but this is my preferred for this dish)

1 bunch of broccoli chopped

3 cloves of garlic

1/2 cup evoo

1 teaspoon of Calabrian chili pepper or red pepper flakes

Directions

Fill a pot with water, add salt and bring to a boil

Steam your broccoli with 3 cloves of garlic, I used a steamer pot but you can use a regular pot as well. Steam until tender and you can poke a fork through it

Cook your pasta according to package instructions

Remove your broccoli from the steamer and add to a bowl

Toss with olive oil and salt

Strain your pasta and add it to the bowl of broccoli

Add more oil until the pasta is well coated and doesn’t look dry

Add Calabrian chili pepper and mix
