Steamed Mussels

If I’m being completely honest, I’m not big on mussels. It’s the one seafood that I don’t really eat but they were big in my house. My dad absolutely loves them and his recipe is too good and easy to not share! Everyone who eats them loves them, even I sneak one occasionally!

Ingredients

2 lbs mussels

half a bunch of parsley

3 cloves of garlic, crushed

1/4 cup olive oil

1/2 cup white wine

red pepper to taste

Directions

Thoroughly wash and clean your mussels

In a large pot, add oil, garlic, red pepper and white wine

Next, add all your mussels and then add the parsley (leave it with the stems on!) on top

Cover and cook on medium-high heat for 15 minutes or until mussels open

Serve immediately!
